8 dangers of lack of saliva

In one day , humans could produce as much as 44 ounces of saliva . You might be shocked to know these facts . This is unusual because most people never notice the saliva .
Even so , do not think saliva had no benefit . Man it would be difficult if their bodies do not produce saliva . Based on the research , one in five people in North America experiencing shortages saliva . This can affect their quality of life .
Mouth water shortage , also called dry mouth ( or xerostomia in medical language ) can infect anyone . Even so , the disease tends to be more common in women than men .
A person may suffer a lack of saliva in the mild stage , through to severe . Shortage of saliva can cause some of the following , as reported by the Third Age ( 26 / 03 ) .
1 . Difficulty swallowing or chewing food . Will eventually make someone malnutrition or nutrition .
2 . Difficulty savor the taste of food . In other words, a person's ability to feel the food will be greatly reduced .
3 . Difficulty speaking .
4 . Bad breath or halitosis . This is certainly greatly affect the person's social life .
5 . Irritation or damage to tissues in the mouth .
6 . Infection .
7 . Tooth decay . People who experience dry mouth more at risk of tooth decay .
8 . Gum disease .
Usually the problem is caused by dry mouth age . The older a person , the higher the likelihood of experiencing dry mouth . even so , some diseases such as diabetes or Parkinson's can also cause this disease .
